The Northrop N9M was designed and built in 1942 in the John K. Northrop's design office. This prototype was the progenitor of the family of Northrop flying wing bombers - the propeller-driven XB-35 and jet-powered YB-49. The model is much pre-finished including the realistic colour scheme. Therefore its assembly is really not a time-consuming affair. The wing is made of a very tough EPP, enabling a quite harsh handling. To power the model two motors of the 280 series and two LiPol accumulators, or an eight-cell NiMH battery. The larger wing span has a beneficial influence on the flight behaviour, too.
