The prototype of the Japanese Watanabe J7W Shinden was begun in 1944. The advantages of the unusual canard layout were clear: Resistance to stall, possibility to install powerful weapons without resorting to synchronisation and a good pilot's view. The test flights have shown, however, that the things were not so easy as originally presumed and the end of the Second World war was nearing, too. The machine eventually never made it to the series production. The model is ready to a maximum extent, including the scale-like surface finish. The assembly of the model is a very straightforward and quick affair. The parts are cut-out from the very durable EPP foam, enabling a rougher handling. For propulsion an AC motor and two LiPol accumulators are the optimum. The model is suitable for beginners. Its pleasant flight behaviour, sturdy material, pusher motor and wide undercarriage ensure that.
